On 1927.JAN.08, Ida wrote the letter at left. Sure enough, the paper published her story 1927.JAN.22. Ida was 11 1/2 years old.
Brother Abe composed a regular news column about Shickshinny High School, and Ida is mentioned on several occasions. These can be reached by Home > Abram Simon > News column. Abe graduated in 1930, and Ida continued the column.

This is not likely younger sister Ruth. It might or might not be Nate’s wife. Ruth and Nate were recently married and living in Shickshinny. Their first child Carol was not born until 1932.
